‘Mothering’ gave me peerless feedback: director

Roqieh Tavakoli hails the excellent feedback moviegoers gave her.

Female Iranian Roqieh Tavakoli says she got wonderful feedback over the first public screening of her movie ‘Mothering’.

Tavakoli noted that despite her previous chances to watch her movie on the screen in domestic and international festivals, her first public screening at home was different. She recalls that moviegoers in Tehran invigorated her after watching the flick, and that it gave her the ‘feel-the-good’.

There’s this saying ‘until you haven’t publicly screened your film, you haven’t made it’, she continued, adding that now she knows what the statement means.

Both the cast and crew, including stars Siavash Haqiqi, Hanieh Tavassoli and Nazanin Bayati were there in the hall during the screening.

The film is about two sisters, with opposite issues; One having left her lover, and the other, having been left.

The social drama enjoyed its first screening at the main competition section of the 35th Fajr Film Festival.
